In biblical times Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego were tossed into a fiery furnace because they refused to bow down to an idol. Among countless others, these men were the only ones who stood in stark opposition to what the king demanded of his people. Everyone else caved under pressured and bowed out of fear of being thrown into the fiery furnace.

Today, many pastors in Houston, Texas are being tempted to disobey God just like Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego were. Except these pastors are being subpoenaed by local governing authorities to turn in their sermons in order that they can check for any “gender identity issues.” While it is not a matter of life or death, it is a matter of obedience to God.

The breaking story begins with Dave Welch—the executive director of the Texas Pastor Council—and five other pastors. You won’t believe the response from these men, in fact it will drop your jaw to the floor…

So why is all of this happening in the first place? What on earth gives the government the right to interfere with churches? That’s simple, it’s the 501(c)(3)….

In 1954 Senator Lyndon Johnson unleashed a monstrous action directed at American churches…the 501(c)(3). Because he did not like the fact that pastors and churches were opposing his liberal agenda, he set out to silence them with the power he had readily available to him….the Law! As a result he introduced verbiage to the IRC prohibiting churches from influencing political legislation and supporting political campaigns or risk losing their tax-exempt status. And thus it began…

To be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, an organization may not be an action organization, i.e., it may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities and it may not participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates (Proof Here).

In other words, churches are not allowed to participate in any campaign or promote any candidate, even if that candidate is a Christian. As a result our politics have gone to the crapper and furthermore, this is why Christians in government are few and far between. Since no one is backing them they don’t win, which is exactly what our government wanted. Churches caving under pressure and as result evil has won the White House, The House of Representatives, Congress, and the Judicial system.

Pastors today have become the servant of the State and in a sense sold their souls to the state. They remain silent on political issues and side swipe issues the government tells them they are not allowed to talk about. They bow down to the governing political body and sold out parts of the Gospel. OUTRAGE!

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bears rule, the people mourn.” Prov. 29:2

So Yes! I mix religion and politics because politics keeps intruding upon my religious freedoms! Therefore I will stand in stark opposition to things that hinder what the church can or can’t say, because eventually they will add more verbiage to these documents and more of our freedoms will ripped from us. It is only a matter of time. As of now, the government has begun their invasion on the churches…starting with the 501c3….

“…look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens.…” Exodus
