The US military, via the organization known as DARPA, Defense Advanced Research Project Agency,  is now looking into ways to enlist fish and other sea life to track enemy submarines at sea via a program called, The Persistent Aquatic Living Sensors (PALS).

This program will allow DARPA to modify existing species to make them better underwater spies. They plan to optimize their senses in order to detect manmade objects.

The problem is could such “Frankin-Creatures” have major impacts on the environment or humanity itself? I believe the question needs to asked.
