If you have never heard the term “we are living in the latter days”–a term that prophecies about a time period that will occur at the very end of our age—then it’s about time you’ve become well acquainted with the words. Because we are living in the latter days and we are the generation that will witness prophetic fulfillment of Biblical prophecy.
The Bible doesn’t lack when it comes to prophecy. In fact there are hundreds of prophecies all throughout the Bible which predict future events and all written thousands of years before they happened. One prophecy in particular states that the Antichrist—an evil dictator believed to be Satan incarnate—rises to rule the world and gets Israel to sign a 7 year “peace” treaty:
“He [the Antichrist] will make a treaty with the people [Israel] for a period of one set of seven [7 years], but after half this time [3.5 years] he will put an end to sacrifices and offerings…”(Daniel 9:27)
It is this prophecy that we are on the brink of seeing fulfilled! In recent news report that have come out of Israel President of Turkey, Erdogan, is doing everything he can to “get in good” with Israel and now they are beginning the process of a covenant treaty between Israel and Hamas—a treaty pushed by Qatar and Turkey….
“You boast, “We have entered into a covenant with death, with the grave we have made an agreement. When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by, it cannot touch us, for we have made a lie our refuge and falsehood our hiding place.” Isaiah 28:15

Its not time yet Lisa as a lot more must come to pass according to the bible!!
31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. (Daniel 11:31)
The “him” is the final King of the North.
Not only will the Great Tribulation not start before there is an actual King of the South and an actual final King of the North, a prince who will later become that King of the North will first confirm a deal (probably a peace deal) with Israel (probably somewhat including the United States and some Arab lands as part of the “many” in Daniel 9:27).
Daniel 11:27 itself requires two kings, which suggests that the future “prince” will gain more and more importance after the deal in Daniel 9:27 (for more information on the sequence of Daniel 11, please see the article the King of the North). It may take a regional or other war in the Middle East to trigger a peace deal. And if Isaiah 17:1 concerning the destruction of Damascus is to be fulfilled prior to the start of the Great Tribulation, the destruction of Damascus in Syria should be a clear sign to those who discount biblical prophecy that Bible prophecy will come to pass. Damascus has claimed to the longest continuously inhabited city on the earth and its destruction would be unprecedented. But with all the news about Syria, it is certainly possibly that the destruction of Damascus can come soon (for some details, please watch Damascus and Syria in Prophecy).

The scripture from Isaiah 28:15 was directed at those of the “…tribe of Ephraim…” who lived and ruled the Northern Kingdom of Israel in “Judaea” (ancient spelling). Isaiah refers to them as the “…drunkards of Ephriam…” in Chapter 28. He also called them “scoffers, who rule the people of Jerusalem.” He also said of them, that when the “…overwhelming scourge passes through you will be beaten down by it…”! Erdogan, the President of Turkey, is NOT “the antichrist”.
Lannyboy,
perhaps not …He is anti-Christian, that’s for sure like every muslim or hindou or budhist etc.
The substance of the antichristian spirit is that of those who deny that Jesus is The Christ, the real incarnation of the Son of God, by which is meant not only the denial of the “doctrine of Christ”, but the actual moral antagonism against the religious implications. Who are they who deny and oppose Christ? There are “many” who are “of the spirit of antichrist”. Who are they? A “…humanitarian…” is one who believes in, “…the doctrine that Jesus Christ was merely a man and not divine…”, that “…man’s chief duty is to work for the welfare of the human race…”, and, “…that human perfectibility is attainable through man’s own efforts without divine aid…”. Type in “humanitarian” and see what you come up with!
There are numerous ads for new drugs and new technologies to improve or perfect the human condition. Some are even predicting that death can be removed if they make the right moves (http://www.kurzweilai.net/ask-ray-death-can-be-erased-if-humanity-makes-the-right-moves)! Wait a minute! Wasn’t Christ resurrected from death by his Father? Oh, yeah, he was! Death has already been removed for those who have true faith in GOD, and who acknowledge Jesus as The Christ, the divine Son of GOD! Those attempting to attain “human perfectibility” through their own efforts are NOT supporters of the “doctrine of Christ”, and they are, in fact, antichrist and antagonistic toward anyone who doesn’t think like them!
