The United Nations General Assembly has just turned on President Donald Trump by voting 128 to 9 to declaring his controversial decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital “null and void”.

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas’s spokesman Nabil Abu Rdainah seized on what he said was a “victory for Palestine”.

Some countries decided to abstain from the vote in order to keep relations with America on good ground. Additionally, moments before US’s ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, warned that the US would be “taking names” of any countries who supported a resolution criticizing Washington’s actions.
