On June 7th 2016, FEMA conducted one of their largest domestic drills to date, called “Cascadia Rising” that simulated effects of a magnitude 9.0 earthquake along the Cascade Subduction Zone. At that time, more than 50 different counties and over 2,000 personal took part in the exercise.

Now that we have arrived in 2019, a slew of small burst tremors have not only rattled the West Coast area, but are causing scientists and geologists to pay very close attention to the cascade subduction zone. Especially considering the area is over 317 years overdue for the big one. All that and more in todays report….
